Player Registration Dec 1st- Jan 25th

Tryouts Saturday January 27th 10 AM-1 PM. 

Players are $125.00 Instructional T-Ball $100 includes jersey, hat, and belt.

If you volunteer to coach, your child will receive a 50% refund upon passing the background check and attending the draft.

If you become a baseball commissioner, you receive $25 off registration.

There will be a 10% sibling discount. 

When registering ensure shirt size is correct for player

The cost of the background check is $13.00

A background check is required for all volunteers. You can't be on the field without a background check.

Practice begins - February 1. Practice days and times will be determined by each coach.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • How Many Practices Per Week?: Practices vary by coach and age group, typically teams will practice 1-2x per week and no more than 4 activities a week including games.
  • What Time are Practices?: Practice times vary by coach, EMCSA offers lighted practice fields during your field time. Weekday practices usually run from 6:00 - 7:30 PM and ends 7:30 - 9:00 PM. Your coach will let you know.
  • What If You Don't Have Field Time?: If you do not have a scheduled time, EMCSA has an agreement with New Caney ISD to practice at three schools, the head coach will need to communicate with the school that they are with EMCSA.
  • When are League Games Played?: Spring games run from March through May. League games are played Monday - Friday starting at 6:00 PM and sometimes on Saturdays starting at 9:00 AM
  • How Many Games per Season?: Each season will consist of 12-15 games with each week consisting of at 2 games per week per team. This can change due to odd number of teams or the weather.
  • What to Bring to Tryouts?: Bat, Helmet, Glove, and Cleats are recommended, however, a glove is all that is required. If you do not have a bat, then one can be borrowed during tryouts.
  • What do the Tryouts Consist Of?: During the tryouts players will be asked to hit multiple pitched balls, run to first base, catch popups and ground balls, and make throws from across the infield (typically short stop to first base).
  • I Can't Make Tryouts, What Happens Now?: While we do request that all players attend tryouts for the best experience, it is not mandatory. Players who do not tryout will be considered a hat pick at the end of the draft and assigned to a team
  • What Equipment Do I Need?: At minimal, a glove and helmet. Cleats and bats are nice to have, but players that do not have a bat can usually borrow from other players on the team. The league provides the belt, hat, and jersey.
  • Bat Requirements: If you have your own bat, it must meet the equipment requirements found at https://usabat.com/
  • Can My Child Play Up an Age Level?: (1) Parent must ask at registration window at tryouts to move up. (2) Player MUST attend tryouts for evaluation by coaches and commissioner (3) EMCSA does NOT recommend players playing up in divisions
  • Birthday Registration Cut Off: Players are not allowed to play down divisions regardless of birth day, even if it is missed by 1 day. The cut off date for EMCSA is May 1st.
  • Need to play with another player due to: The ONLY roster exceptions we make are for siblings who live in the same household. Siblings will be placed on the same team if they are in the same division. WE DO NOT ALLOW EXCEPTIONS FOR ANY REASON
  • How Many Players per Team?: There are 10 to 12 players per team
  • What if my Child Misses a Game?: If you are unable to attend a game, please notify your Head Coach as soon as possible, so the coach has plenty of time to pick up a player (same division or younger). Team must have 8 players to play
  • Want to Manage a Team?: If you are interested in managing a team, please volunteer as a Head Coach when registering your child. Background Checks are REQUIRED though our system.
  • What Age Does EMCSA Offer?: EMCSA offers multiple age groups in league baseball.
  • Age Group for Dixie Youth Baseball: 4 yr old - Inst. T-Ball 5-6 yr old - T-Ball (A) 7-8 yr old - Coach Pitch (AA) 9-10 yr old - Minors (AAA) 11-12 yr old - Majors (O'Zone) 13-14 yr old - Seniors (Rangers)
